Rosemary maple salmon

Quick & easy to make using an air fryer or oven. The maple and rosemary add a lovely extra flavour to the salmon.
Lovely source of protein and very low in saturated fat.

Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 small saucepan
  • 1 Ziplock bag

Ingredients

  • 2 Salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Rosemary (2 sprigs)
  • 5 tbsp Lemon Juice (1 squeezed lemon)
  • 2 tsp Worcester sauce
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Marinade the salmon

  • Combine the maple syrup, lemon juice Worcester sauce and rosemary in a bowl. Add some salt & pepper
  • Cover the salmon with the marinade. And place the salmon and any remaining marinade in a ziplock bag. Remove the air and let marinade in the fridge for 1 hour or longer.

Cook the salmon

  • When needed remove the salmon from the fridge.
  • a - Gently take the salmon out of the bag and place in the air fryer. Leaving remaining marinade in the bag – see below
    b - Heat for 15 minutes at 180 degrees C

Finalise the salmon

  • After you’ve removed the salmon from the bag, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and gently heat to make glaze (glossy coating)
  • When the salmon is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and gently brush the glaze on top.
