What is lemon basil used for ?
It will be ideal for South Asian or North East African Dishes.
Lemon basil has a very intense citrus (lemony) aroma. And is a ‘must’ if you like cooking South Asian or North East African Dishes. For example Indonesian, Philippine or Arabic….
This basil is is used in many different ways for cooking. For example when eaten raw with a salad, used to season many cooked dishes or even used in sweet desserts.

Where to buy Lemon Basil
Unfortunately it is not often available in shops but it’s very easy to grow at home.
It loves warm very sunny conditions and hates cold draughts. Which is why it’s great to grow on a sunny window sill indoors.
